For many families, the kitchen is where the day begins and ends. It is where meals are prepared, families gather and everyday choices are made. But the way we cook can also shape our health, our environment and the quality of life in our communities.
\nIn Tanga, a new conversation is taking shape around one simple question: What if cleaner cooking could become part of the health conversation?
\nWe are bringing this conversation closer to communities by equipping Community Health Workers (CHWs) with practical skills on E-Cooking, introducing them to electric cooking technologies and how they can promote their use among the households they serve.
\nCHWs had the opportunity to get hands-on, learning how E-Cooking technologies work and how they can be used in everyday household settings. Through practical sessions and interactive learning, they explored not only the technology itself, but also how to communicate the value of clean cooking to families in their communities.\nCHWs are among the most trusted links between health systems and communities. They know the households they serve, understand the challenges families face and are often the first point of contact when health concerns arise.
\nBy giving them knowledge about clean cooking, the message does not stop at the training venue. It can travel from CHW to household, household to family and family to community.
