Mkapa Legacy Symposium 2022
On the 13th and 14th of July 2022, the Benjamin Mkapa Foundation (BMF) in collaboration with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar commemorated the life and legacy of the late, His Excellency Benjamin William Mkapa, Former President of Tanzania, Founder, and Settlor of the Foundation who passed away on 23rd July 2020.
In line with H.E. the Late Benjamin William Mkapaâs legacy and philosophy, this yearâs theme was “Mkapa’s Legacy: Resilient Leadership -Inspiring Change for All”. During the Mkapa Legacy Symposium various leaders shared insight on accelerating strategic health transformation in Tanzania through business coalition and innovative Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) approaches towards attaining Universal Health Coverage.
