Infrastructure is a key pillar supporting the fundamental aim of promoting improved standards of care and wellbeing for all patients, together with a good experience of the health care system.

Mkapa Foundation has contributed to health infrastructure investment by either constructing or rehabilitation of more than 550 infrastructure development interventions, which includes construction of 480 new low cost staff houses, 12 Surgical Operating theatres and maternity wards to mention a few. This was made possible through private sector donations and donors financing.
