Mr. Emilian Busara

Mr. Emilian Busara is a certified public accountant and board member, with over 25 years of experience in the field. He is the former Chief Executive Officer for Management and Development for Health (MDH), and Director of Finance for Engender Health International, among other leadership roles. He has also worked for the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), Citibank, and Plan International. His focus was mainly on finance in the areas of the stock market, health, water, environment, sanitation, education, microfinance, and income-generating interventions. He possesses vast experience in training and organizational development, as well as managing donor-funded initiatives at different leadership levels, especially in finance and administration. He is a part-time lecturer and trainer on business, governance, finance, life skills, and auditing. He holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania - 2004) and a Certified Public Accountant (Tanzania -1998). He has been the Lecturer for the NBAA CPA Exams (2005-2020), and a facilitator for capacity-building training for various Tanzanian institutions in the areas of finance and business strategy. Emilian Busara has been a board member of various local and international institutions, including Voluntary Service Oversees- Kenya, Equity for Growth, World Vision Tanzania, Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, and Trademark East Africa, among others.
