Rtd. Judge Susana Bernard Mkapa

Rtd. Judge Susana Bernard Mkapa is a retired Judge of The High Court of Tanzania, with over 30 years of experience in legal matters. She amassed her experience through government employment from the level of Director of Legal Services and then Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Finance and Planning), to Honorable Judge of The High Court. She holds a master’s degree in Laws from the University of London- School of Oriental and African Studies (UK – 1993), and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania – 1986). Through the years, she has attended various training courses related to legal matters, leadership, and corporate management. Rtd. Judge Susana Mkapa has served as a board member for the Fair Competition Tribunal and the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade).
