Shape the Future of Healthcare through Tanzania's Workforce

The National Human Resources for Health (HRH) Conference was back. In commemorating the legacy of His Excellency Late Benjamin William Mkapa – Former President of United Republic of Tanzania, the Benjamin William Mkapa Foundation in collaboration with Government of Tanzania hosted the National HRH Conference on 29th -30th July 2024 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania prior to the high-level Mkapa Legacy Summit on 31st July 2024.

The conference came at a crucial time, when a global shortage of Health Care Workers threatens healthcare access, especially in Africa. Tanzania faces a critical shortage of skilled health professionals, as outlined in the recent HRH profilehindering the efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
