Tanzania Implementation Framework Agreement-TIFA
The project is funded by USAID through JSI with the aim of enhancing Tanzania’s TB Program capacity for sustainable and effective TB Contact Investigation through National Level Technical Assistance from Jan 2023 to Jan 2024. The project’s framework is built upon the current National TB strategic plan, to institute a structured TBCI intervention through the provision of enabling tools, capacities, and generation of evidence. The project aims at developing standardized systems to support TBCI including Policies, Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures to ensure National Coverage of TB Contact Investigation tailored to different groups needs within existing health and community systems.

Target beneficiaries
The project is targeted to support the MoH-NTLP in establishing a formal Tanzania TBCI framework for guidance and resources mobilization including addressing crucial issues raised in the Country’s TBCI situational analysis, a Program implementation tool to be used by TBCI stakeholders, Health and Community Systems Structures in the context of TBCI. The project involves provision of National Level Technical assistance to the MoH-NTLP
Solutions the project provide:
The project will develop standardized systems to support TB Contact Investigation including Policies, Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures to ensure National Coverage of TB Contact Investigation tailored to different groups needs within existing health and community systems.
The project will institute a structured TBCI intervention which is inconsistent and limited in the current National TB Strategic Plan
