The second day, 14th July 2022 was the Symposium summit with the Guest of Honor, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan. This day was a reflection on Mkapa’s leadership, advocating resilient and transformative leadership and collaboration within the Private and Public Sector to improve the health sector in Tanzania.
“If we want to go fast and reach our 2030 goal of better health for all, then we have to change our attitude that we can do it alone. The notion that the government can and will do everything must change. We must involve the private sector so that we can go fast and get the results that we want.” –Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania
